Biosphere & CETS - European Charter for Sustainable Tourism
The Natural Park of Sant Llorenç de Munt and Obac joined the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS) of 2011.
CETS was created with the idea of ​​ensuring that the public use of the natural park is developed in a manner consistent with the preservation of heritage, natural and historical, with the aim of minimizing the negative impacts that tourism can have and promote the positive aspects, such as local economic development, tourism generates.
CETS is a set of best practices for sustainable environmental management of tourism in protected natural areas.. It is a tool, voluntary, based on the participation of all stakeholders in the tourism park to define a strategy and common goals.
Involves both managers of protected natural areas and tourism enterprises.
